Annual Golf Outing – Farmington Hills Golf Club
Meeting Minutes

1. President Morabito welcomed everyone to today’s outing.
2. Thank you to today’s event sponsors – AccuMed, Apollo, Belfor, CDPA Architects, Concraft, Jarvis, MJ White, Onsite Solutions, Parastar, Statewide, St. John Health, VFIS, and Young’s Environmental. Several other vendors donated prizes to today’s outing, as well. Their names were on the gifts that they donated.
3. We have confirmed our Vendor Show at Rock Financial Showplace again for next year. Mark your calendars for April 9, 2009. Vendors will be able to start registering for the show starting in January.
4. Please welcome the following New Members:

5. Chief Alan D’Agostino gave the financial report: $24,166.56 cash to spend
6. President Morabito announced that the resignation of the State Fire Marshal is official. A few people have approached the board asking for its endorsement for their pursuit of this open position. After interviewing candidates, the board has decided to endorse Chief Ron Farr. A letter of endorsement will be sent to the governor’s office in hopes to have a voice in the selection process. The board is also in the process of meeting with the governor’s office to discuss pertinent Michigan fire service issues.
7. This is the last membership meeting until September 11, 2008. We’ll be at the Summit in Canton and our special guest will be David Brandon, CEO Domino’s Pizza.
8. October 9th – We’ve got L. Brooks Patterson as our special guest. Location: Petruzzello’s Banquet Hall in Troy.
9. November 13th we’ll be at the Holiday Inn in Ann Arbor. Featuring short presentations from Terry McGinn (a headhunter) to discuss hiring processes, as well as from the Shriner’s.
10. December 11th is our annual Holiday Party in Eastpointe.
